Grand Grandmaster Jung ``Tiger`` Kim

Grandmaster Jung “Tiger” Kim was born on February 23, 1936, in Seoul, Korea. At the age of 6 year, he began studying Tang Soo Do. He received Black Belt #123 from Grandmaster Hwang Kee.

The nickname “Tiger” was earned in 1958 due to his aggressive fighting style. He attended the rank of Police Captain with the Korean National Police and was known across Korea as “Tiger Cop” and “Golden Head” for his uncanny ability to break objects with his head.

Grandmaster Kim was invited to Hong Kong in 1969 and instructed Bruce Lee in the art of breaking. Grandmaster Kim is on of the highest ranking Grandmasters in the world.

Grandmaster Sung ``Tiger`` Kim

Master Sung “Tiger” Kim is a Kukkiwon Taekwondo certified Master instructor. He has specialties in both weapons and hand-to-hand combat. He has been the Tournament Director of all tournaments and demonstrations held by the academy including the “Rocky Mountain National Open” and the “Americas Cup”.

He holds the rank of 7th Dan in both Tang Soo Do and Taekwondo. Master Kim has had the distinction of being awarded National Junior Olympics Champion earlier in his career. He is also a U.S.T.U. / A.A.U./ Tiger Claw Elite Certified National Referee and Promoter with Olympic Center Training.

He’s the head coordinator for TKD Enrichment at Denver Public Schools including Steck, Bromwell and Denver Green School for over 10 years.
